Hey peeps! We’re so stoked to be a part of OPIA Theatre Collective‘s Dark Crop festival this August, and passes are on sale TODAY!
Wives Tales, which we began development on exactly one year ago, has turned into two projects instead of one — a script by Sarah Dennison (set to premiere next year) and this short verbatim piece (more info below).
To purchase (very reasonably priced) passes to this super cool all night theatre festival and catch your first glimpse of Wives Tales, here is the link: http://darkcrop.brownpapertickets.com
WIVES TALES VERBATIM
WIVES’ TALE – an epithet used to indicate that a supposed truth is actually a superstition or something untrue, to be ridiculed. It can be said sometimes to be a type of urban legend, to be passed down by older women to a younger generation.
Wives Tales Verbatim is a short performance piece created from the real life experiences, stories and opinions of five anonymous Wives from the Waterloo Region, as well as interviews conducted cross-culturally with approximately 50 others.
