Well, it’s Monday. The most dreaded day of the week (we’ll touch more on that subject in another post)… but don’t fear, Internet, because I am here to motivate you! Yep! If you logged onto your computer this morning thinking, “gee, I really need something to get me going today,” you have come to the right place.

I hope.

Below I’ve included this super motivating image of a cat, encouraging you all to “hang in there,” because from experience I know that this cat is the authority on all things motivational. I’ve seen it in far too many offices or break rooms, hung haphazardly over coffee machines or cubicles, to think it could be anything but motivating. Why else would it be splayed across most walls of this great world, if it wasn’t proven to immediately fill you with a sense that “you can do it!”?

Feeling motivated yet? No? Ok, well, here’s one more image that I know will work:

I mean, how true is that?! Now come on, get off that butt of yours and do something! Anything! Please, it would really mean a lot to Mr. Gretzky. My grade 5 teacher gave all of us laminated bookmarks with this quotation on it. I used it the whole school year and had NO IDEA what it meant. First of all, I thought it had something to do with basketball, because there was a picture of a guy shooting hoops under the words. Second, it seemed really contradictory to me. How could you miss a shot if you didn’t even shoot it? To save you all the details of my whole coming of age story of grade 6, I will let you know that by the end of the year I still did not understand that bookmark. But I do now. So I’d like to share the words that once befuddled me with all of you, and hope you can gain some motivational insight from them.

You’re welcome.

If you’re still not feeling motivated, pinterest has TONS of other images and quotations that should help you get through the day.

If not, I give you permission to stay home today and watch re-runs of Grey’s Anatomy and cry. That’s what I’ll be doing.

Hang in there, baby!
